2024 Collection
This is the year in which I began writing ‘The Archives’. After the long years of Covid, and the clear growth of international disorder, I lost my bearings for a while. This is the year I set for myself to get out of this slump.

I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty and skill in battle. We will accept nothing less than full Victory! Good luck! And let us beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking.
Donald Trump shot
Some thoughts on the failed assassination attempt on former President Trump. Anna Moneymaker — Getty Images I will keep this post brief. The consequences of this event will not be clear for a while, yet it is nonetheless important to start thinking on how this will shape the November elections. 2034: A novel of the next world war, by Elliot Ackerman and Admiral James Stavridis
A cautionary tale on escalation management and uncertainty. 2034: A novel of the next world war. 💶 You can buy 2034: A novel of the next world war through Amazon (Spain/Portugal) or via Penguin Books. It seems fitting to comment on 2034 — and later on its sequel, 2054, which I have already tipped my toes in — this year. Since its release in 2021, a lot has taken place.

So I am currently visiting the Netherlands and had the chance to visit the much hyped Efteling theme park.

Around the World in 80 Days, by Jules Verne
An atlas of the world in 1872 taking the form of a novel. Via Penguin Shop. 💶 You can buy the same edition I got (pictured above) through Amazon (Spain/Portugal) or via Penguin Books. Set in 1872, Verne’s novel offers a look into a world which preceded the age of immediacy we live in today. The second half of the 19th century was an age of tremendous technological advancement, and Verne aptly exposes the contemporary fascination for speed, efficiency, and audacity through the character of Phileas Fogg, the phlegmatic protagonist of the story.

The crazy politics of the original 'Modern Warfare' trilogy
Terrorism, Russian troops in DC, arms traffickers, and rogue American generals. How the original ‘Modern Warfare’ played on the trends of its time, and a commentary on the crazy events of its narrative from a political lens. USAF serviceman playing 'Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare'. The original ‘Modern Warfare’ trilogy of Call of Duty games were cultural phenomena in their time. When the first game came out in 2007, the Iraqi Civil War was still in full swing, and the armed forces of countries all over the world were directing their efforts toward counter-insurgency actions.
